Description: When using SAML authentication with IdP support for passwordless logins, users receive an error message:
Authentication method 'X509, MultiFactor' by which the user authenticated with the service doesn't match requested authentication method 'Password, ProtectedTransport'
Resolution:
- Sign in to the CloudConnexa Admin Portal.
- Go to Settings → User Authentication → Edit (Upper right button) → SAML's View Attribute Mapping → Turn off the "Auth Context" option:
Note: If the "Auth Context" option is disabled, any authentication method configured on the IdP side is allowed. In such a case, please keep in mind the implications of having no minimum security measurements required, and whatever is configured on the IdP side will be accepted without question.
