CloudConnexa : Okta SAML Group Mapping

This article guides you through mapping Okta groups to OpenVPN groups with SAML authentication.

Solution:

To add Group Attribute Statements to your Okta SAML app integration:

1. Sign in to your Okta admin dashboard.
2. From the left-navigation pane, click Applications > Applications.
3. Click your SAML application.
4. Click the General tab.
5. For SAML Settings, click Edit.
6. Click Next on the General Settings page.
7. On the Configure SAML page, scroll down to Group Attribute Statements (optional).
8. Enter your statement for mapping your OpenVPN groups.
   • For example: use the filter, Matches regex, and enter, ".*GroupA.*|.*GroupB.*|.*groupC.*|.*groupD.*"
     
     

This will send the groups Group A and Group B, and others within a single Attribute value (Groups).
