This article guides you through mapping Okta groups to OpenVPN groups with SAML authentication.
Solution:
To add Group Attribute Statements to your Okta SAML app integration:
- Sign in to your Okta admin dashboard.
- From the left-navigation pane, click Applications > Applications.
- Click your SAML application.
- Click the General tab.
- For SAML Settings, click Edit.
- Click Next on the General Settings page.
- On the Configure SAML page, scroll down to Group Attribute Statements (optional).
- Enter your statement for mapping your OpenVPN groups.
- For example: use the filter, Matches regex, and enter, ".*GroupA.*|.*GroupB.*|.*groupC.*|.*groupD.*"
- For example: use the filter, Matches regex, and enter, ".*GroupA.*|.*GroupB.*|.*groupC.*|.*groupD.*"
This will send the groups Group A and Group B, and others within a single Attribute value (Groups).
For optimal User Group mapping, configure Attribute Statements in Okta as specified below and ensure their inclusion in CloudConnexa's Attribute Mapping.
