Description: The customer has set up a few Network Connectors (AWS, DigitalOcean, and Google Cloud). As a server administrator, they would like to easily record the connectors (ex. connector.aws.local, connector.google.local, etc.) when they need to access them, instead of remembering all the Private or Tunnel IP Addresses.
Resolution: To do this, use OpenVPN Cloud DNS Records.
Step 1:
From your OpenVPN Cloud Admin Portal got to Settings > DNS > DNS Records > Add the three Records for your connectors of AWS, DigitalOcean, and Google Cloud (see screenshots below).
- Domain Name: connector.aws.local = IPv4: 100.96.1.2
- Domain Name: connector.digitalocean.local = IPv4: 100.96.2.146
- Domain Name: connector.google.local = IPv4: 100.96.1.242
Step 2:
Test from the connected WPC user device and access the network connectors (either via ping, SSH, etc.) using Its domain name.
