OpenVPN Connect: Installing OpenVPN Connect on Windows Using winget

This tutorial shows how to install OpenVPN Connect on Windows using winget, Microsoft's command-line package manager.

Step 1: Open a command prompt with administrative privileges

1. Open a command prompt or PowerShell.
2. Ensure it's running as Administrator.

Step 2: Install OpenVPN Connect using winget

1. Run the following command:

   winget install OpenVPNTechnologies.OpenVPNConnect

2. Wait for the installation to complete.

Step 3: Verify the installation

1. Launch OpenVPN Connect from the Start menu.
2. Confirm the app opens successfully.

Important note about winget versions

winget uses a community-maintained repository, which isn't managed by OpenVPN. Because of this, the version available through winget may not always be the latest release.
