CloudConnexa: 2-ways on how Connect App client connect to CloudConnexa

Description: This guide explains how to connect a client device to CloudConnexa using the OpenVPN Connect app, either by importing a user profile or by connecting through a CloudConnexa URL.

Prerequisites
• A valid CloudConnexa user account.
• OpenVPN Connect App client installed on client machine - [Installer Link]
• Access to the CloudConnexa Portal.

1. Launch the OpenVPN Connect app.

2. On the welcome screen, select URL as the import method.

3. Enter your CloudConnexa URL in the following format:

https://<YourCloudID>.openvpn.com

4. Sign in using your CloudConnexa username and password.

5. When prompted, select the CloudConnexa Region closest to your device's current location and confirm the prompt to download and import your user profile

Once the profile has been imported successfully, click Connect to establish the VPN connection.

Option 2: Download the User Profile and Upload it to the Connect App Client

Step 1: Sign in to the CloudConnexa Portal

1. Open a web browser.

2. Navigate to the CloudConnexa Portal:

   https://<YourCloudID>.openvpn.com

3. Sign in using your CloudConnexa user credentials.

Step 2: Create a Device

1. From the CloudConnexa Portal, navigate to My Devices.

2. Click Add Device.

3. Follow the prompts to create the device.

Step 3: Download the Device Profile

1. After the device is created, download the device profile (.ovpn file).

2. When prompted, select the CloudConnexa Region that is closest to the device's current location.

3. Save the downloaded profile.

Step 4: Connect to CloudConnexa
• Upload the download profile to Connect App and Connect to CloudConnexa.
