CloudConnexa: Connect Using OpenVPN Connect

Overview

You can connect a device to CloudConnexa using OpenVPN Connect in two ways:

1. Enter your CloudConnexa URL directly in OpenVPN Connect.
2. Download a user connection profile from the CloudConnexa User Portal and import it into OpenVPN Connect.

This article explains both methods.

Before you begin

Ensure you have:
• A valid CloudConnexa user account.
• OpenVPN Connect installed on your device. See Download OpenVPN Connect.
• Access to the CloudConnexa User Portal.

1. Launch OpenVPN Connect.

2. On the welcome screen, select URL as the import method.

3. Enter your CloudConnexa URL in the following format:

   https://<YourCloudID>.openvpn.com

4. Sign in with your CloudConnexa username and password.

5. When prompted, select the CloudConnexa Region closest to your device's current location.

6. Follow the prompts to download and import your connection profile.
   

7. Select Connect to establish the VPN connection.
   

• Verify that OpenVPN Connect shows the profile as connected.

Option 2: Connect using a downloaded connection profile

1. Open a web browser.

2. Navigate to the CloudConnexa Portal:

   https://<YourCloudID>.openvpn.com

3. Sign in with your CloudConnexa user credentials.
   

4. From the CloudConnexa User Portal, navigate to My Devices.

5. Select Add Device.

6. Follow the prompts to create the device.
   

7. After the device is created, download the connection profile (.ovpn file).

8. When prompted, select the CloudConnexa Region closest to the device's current location.

9. Save the downloaded profile.
   

10. Launch OpenVPN Connect.

11. Select Upload File.

12. Select the downloaded connection profile.

13. Select Import.
