Description: You can use a Teltonika router as a VPN client with your Access Server.
Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Create an Access Server user account for your Teltonika router
- Sign in to Access Server's Admin Web UI.
- Click User Management > User Permissions.
- Under New Username, type the username for your Teltonika. For our example, we enter "Teltonika."
- Check Allow Auto-login.
- Click Save Settings and Update Running Server.
Step 2: Download a connection profile (.ovpn file) for your Teltonika router
- Click User Management > User Profiles.
- Select your Teltonika user account and click New Profile.
- In the pop-up module, select Autologin and click Create Profile.
- The connection profile (.ovpn file) downloads to your computer. We recommend changing the name to the username for easy management:

That finishes the Access Server configuration.
Step 3: Configure the Teltonika router
- Sign in to the Teltonika router UI.
- Click Services > VPN > OpenVPN.
- Under ADD NEW INSTANCE:
- NEW CONFIGURATION NAME: Enter a name for your client configuration. We use "Test" for our example.
- ROLE: Select Client.
- Click ADD.
- The Client Settings for your new instance display. Turn Enable OpenVPN config from file on.
- Click BROWSE for OpenVPN configuration file and select the connection profile generated in step two above.
- Set Enable to on and click SAVE & APPLY.
- The configuration changes could take a few seconds (You can refresh the Teltonika router UI with F5 in your browser if you don't see any changes.)
- After this, your Teltonika Router is connected:
Step 4: Verify connection
You can verify that the Teltonika router is connected from Access Server's Admin Web UI.
- Sign in to the Admin Web UI.
- Click Status > Current Users.
- The Teltonik connection details display:
