Description: If the subscription licensing activation fails for some reason, you may want to verify that access to our activation server at asb.sts.openvpn.net is possible. The most common error message that will occur when attempting to activate your OpenVPN subscription license from the Admin UI will display the following:
"An error occurred while verifying the subscription. Troubleshoot or contact Support for assistance"
Cause: This kind of problem can occur when the connection between your Access Server and our licensing servers is being blocked or diverted. For example, if DNS is not working correctly, or is poisoned in some way, you won't be reaching our activation server.
Solution: We have tests to determine if your Access Server is actually able to reach our licensing servers. I suggest you run the tests in our troubleshooting guide and please report back your findings.
