Access Server: Not supported between instances of 'OMIDeferredCommand' (Error)

You might encounter this error in the Access Server logs (/var/log/openvpnas.log) when you're using an outdated OpenVPN Access Server version:

Cause:
It is a rare condition that happens when multiple VPN connection requests are sent at the same time. We've resolved the issue in the latest Access Server versions. 

Solution:
Upgrade your Access Server version.

Note: If you encounter the message, "The following packages have been held/kept back" and your server doesn't update the openvpnas package, refer to Access Server: Issue in upgrading AS "The following packages have been held/kept back."
